Shilo is the newest addition to our staff and is usually the first person one speaks with when contacting Prescott & Prescott. At first blush, it doesn't seem so, but Shilo's position is probably one of the toughest jobs in our firm. Shilo has the oftentimes difficult job of obtaining the preliminary facts from our clients and prospective clients. It should be noted that the reason she is asked to obtain the preliminary facts during telephone calls is so that the intended recipient of the call can be prepared for the substance of the conversation. Sometimes we need to research a unique question, pull a document from the file, set aside sufficient time to accommodate the telephone conversation or, in some instances, schedule an appointment in lieu of a telephone conference.
Shilo came to Prescott & Prescott with no previous legal experience, but she took to the telephones like a fish to water. While she was not immediately comfortable with the "legal" aspects of her job, she handled the telephones professionally from the first phone call. With regard to the "law" of her job, Shilo is doing a great job at learning as she goes. As far as the "receptionist" part of that job, she's got that down pat.
Shilo was born in Corona, California and has lived in Southern California for most of her life. She did live in Montana and Nevada for a period of time, but she's basically a California girl. At the tender age of 20, she became Mrs. James Watson. James is an Assistant Manager at WalMart. Shilo and James have two sons. James III, for the longest time, was known as "baby James." Now, that he has a little brother, Joshua born in July, 2000, everyone in the family is trying to refer to James III as "lil James," however lil James still refers to himself as mommy's baby. At any rate, lil James is no longer a baby. He is well into his third year. Lil James is an active, adorable little guy who thoroughly enjoys playing with his cousins and friends. He certainly seems to be a "chip off the old block."
