Michelle W. Cortes

Michelle was born on New Year's Day and was the second baby born in Fullerton, California in 1967. She spent her pre-teen years in Southern California before her family relocated to Redding, California where she attended Intermediate and High School in the small town schools located there. In 1988, upon returning to Southern California, Michelle began working as a secretary for Tonya Prescott (then a sole practitioner). At that time, Michelle had no previous legal experience and only receptionist level secretarial experience. She and Tonya worked closely together and Michelle was able to learn how to run a law office .... literally. Over the years, Michelle has taken Paralegal courses at Rancho Santiago Community College. She now acts as the office manager/paralegal and quite often knows more about what is going on in the office than the attorneys. Michelle is married and has three children, a son, Joey age 11 and six year old twin daughters, Monique and Meaghan.
